Trashes 1601-1625

Trash

Date

Location

1601 Sunday, 27 June 2009 Panorama Resort, Charikot
- mis-set by Keeled Over and the Scholars the previous afternoon and changed at the last minute to a run to Dolakha Bhimsen temple and back with the walkers only doing the to Dolakha bit.
1602 Saturday, 4 July 2009 by the road from Bhaktapur to Nagarkot
- Yogi, Rubberlegs and Apple deal the usual straight flush. HeBitch conjures up a hand-made Trash and gets hashitted for imitating the GM.
1603 Saturday, 11 July 2009 Chobar quarry area
- hared at the last minute by Kruel who set a great run through the cement factory then back along the river bank to the Chobar suspension bridge, then on to the Kirtipur suspension bridge and back home. The departing Gnasher ended his HHHH career with the Hashit.
1604 Saturday, 18 July 2009 Dhapasi
- a great route, taking in refreshments in Tokha on the way back. Paper blobs laid so far apart and so sneakily that there were in effect over a hundred checks with only a few of them recognisable as such.
1605 Saturday, 25 July 2009 outside Weatherell's Wigwam, Bhainsepati
- hared at the last minute by DoggyStyle, with two circuits: a quick one bringing the pack back to the OnSite within minutes of the off, and then a long, long one past paddies and temples in Kokana and along the Bagmati
1606 Saturday, 1 August 2009 Keeled's Kottage, Dolahiti
- a nicely setup run heading south to the east of the Dhapakhel road, and then back north in the Nakhu Khola. Notable for the large number of diplomatic virgins.
1607 Saturday, 8 August 2009 the Pipal tree before Vajrayogini, Sankhu
- Yogi Hare set the trail through Sankhu, along rice field bunds and back up via the foothills of Shivapuri and Vajrayogini temple.
1608 Saturday, 15 August 2009 Phutung, just beyond the end of the blacktop
- an exhausting run through great territory with a steep climb to the halfway point. All quite unlike recent HeBitch haring disasters.
1609 Saturday, 22 August 2009 Weatherall's Wigwam, Bhainsepati
- Vanecock and Cocklear's farewell hash with sausages, momos and a great Hurry Krishna run along the Nakhu Khola.
1610 Saturday, 29 August 2009 The Dhobi Khola west of Kopan
- where Brainey was responsible for an incident packed circuit of the hills and pine forests around Kopan monastery.
1611 Saturday, 5 September 2009 South side of Chobhar hill
- a really good jaunt through Chobhar and Kirtipur with paper mismanagement by Becci and Jos leading to half the runners short cutting the last section. The first Himalayan hash set by four women since February 2007!
1612 Saturday, 12 September 2009 Dhapakhel
- a high-scoring hash that ambled around the rice fields between Dhapakhel and the Godavari road finishing over Santaneshwor temple, the pine-clad ridge and Nag Daha lake. Notable for the participation of several hashers who had completed marathons in the morning.
1613 Saturday, 19 September 2009 Suntakhan, north of Gokarna
- a fairly mild lay by Yogi Hare meandering up and down the east side of the ridge running north from Gokarna. Trouble had a bit of trouble with the locals and Beetled off early, taking his passengers' belongings with him
1614 Saturday, 28 September 2009 somewhere west of Nagarjun
- took place in the Nagarjun area where half of HeBitch's trail had been run a few week's earlier. StripTies got the walkers lost and Trouble raised the record for the Most Late Comer
1615 Saturday, 3 October 2009 Jaraku, north of Balaju
- an excellent trail by the Tallinn HHH intelligentsia, gently meandering through ripening rice fields. And then the hares demonstrated their extensive knowledge of hash songs, many of which had one-word lyrics, which of course may have multiple meanings in Estonian
1616 Saturday, 10 October 2009 flat area below the Gokharna pines
- HeBitch on steroids. A really long and tough run, covering in one go all the trails that Lao Lover has ever set in the area. Circle held in the middle of an archery contest. No wild arrows fortunately.
1617 Thursday, 15 October 2009 - the 30th Anniversary of the first HHHH hash by the temple just south of Thimi
- times having changed since Run 1, the start of the run in what are now normal working hours limited the attendance. Nevertheless the Hares laid 30 checks and fun was had by all.
1618 Saturday, 17 October 2009 SW of Gokharna golf course beside the Sankhu road
- HeBitch hared for the third time in succession, setting a 2 hour trail across the Manahara Valley, and managing to avoid the climb to Changunarayan Temple
1619 Saturday, 24 October 2009 Brahmakhel School, beside the Sankhu road
- a surprisingly easy and pleasant run by the Scholars, starting north towards Sundarijal before heading east and back south to the OnSite. And not one big hill.
1620 Saturday, 31 October 2009 below the Pharping road south of Chalnakhel
- a horizontal run south to the Pharping Hydro pond, then a little further along before a descent ending up at the bottom of the penstocks. Easy climb back to the OnSite
1621 Saturday, 7 November 2009 north of the Godavari pines
- a well-set run by He Bitch and his gang that took in almost all of the pine-clad ridge and Staneshwar temple to the northwest of the on-in.
1622 Saturday, 14 November 2009 Sitapaila main road just past the tree in the middle
-in which the GM got hopelessly lost while the pack followed a great route up the hill and back down again
1623 Saturday, 21 November 2009

Halchok, Sitapaila, on the S ridge of Raniban
- in which Kruel set a great run up the ridge then around through the forest and down a beautiful wooded valley to emerge by an old rich person's house, then back along the Ichangu valley to the OnSite.

1624 Saturday, 28 November 2009 Chhampi
- a Keeled Klassic that went down two gorges and up and around some steep slopes between Chhampi and the Bagmati river
1625 Saturday, 6 December 2009 just south of the Bungamati bus park
- Handcream's first haring for the HHHH produced a great run with stupendous changes in altitude, even by the standards of recent outings. Having somehow reached the Pharping Hydro Pond it was a subdued pack that looked despondently across the Bagmati to the OnSite
